Problem:
Small, sharp, difficult-to-handle scrap from a stamping machine created a costly nuisance at In-Sink-Erator Division of Emerson Electric.
Solution:
An Eriez
Magnetic Chip and Parts Conveyor was installed in a 2-foot (610mm) trench beneath the machine. About 5 tons (4.5mt) of scrap a day was collected, conveyed to the end of the trench and lifted five feet (1524mm) into discharge hoppers.
