Problem:
Both U.S. companies, Oakdale Cotton Mills in Jamestown, NC and the Chicopee Manufacturing in North Little Rock, AR, had shutdowns, machinery damage and fires caused by sparks in their cotton waste storage areas. Those sparks were caused by the presence of tramp iron mixed with the product.
Solution:
Eriez permanent
Plate Magnets were installed. After the cotton and cotton waste passed over the plates, all offending tramp iron was reportedly removed.
